groceries + necessities until roads open in West Bank

I’m raising $250/week to cover groceries, basic hygienic needs, and utilities like electricity and propane for cooking for a family of 7 living in a refugee camp in West Bank. They have been significantly impacted by road closures, lack of job opportunities, and a general lack of safety and freedom since October of 2023. I know this family personally and we are in touch every week. The father of the family has sadly passed away and there is no larger family from which to draw support.

The youngest son and daughter had been able to keep them going on meager paychecks when they were able to travel to Israel and Bethlehem for work, but there is no longer any possibility of passing checkpoints to get to Israel for them, and the job market and general economy in Bethlehem is virtually non-existent. Every effort have been made to secure local jobs, but so far only short-term solutions have been found.

I have personally and with assistance from my family been supporting them, but I cannot do it alone any longer.

Please note: I do not intend to keep this cause going indefinitely.

Neither I nor the family wishes to be in need forever. This is only to get by until employment can be secured so life can go somewhat back to normal for them. We are actively working on this together. If you know of or have any opportunites that could allow them to sustain themselves, please leave a comment and I will follow up with you.

As soon as they are capable of making enough to cover basic needs, I will close out this campaign and issue an update to everyone who has contributed so we can rejoice in their success and our collective success in helping them.
